Joey and Ally met in college in upstate NY (SUNY Cortland). They lived on the same floor freshman year and were friends throughout college, but it wasn’t until they graduated that they started dating.
They were long distance for almost three years. Ally lived in upstate NY and Joey lived on long island and then moved to the city with his friends. Ally had always wanted to live in the city, so she started job searching and in May of 2017 they moved in together on the Upper East Side! They have enjoyed living together and experiencing everything the city has to offer. On January 5th 2019 Joey brought Ally to the “Mickey's 90th true original exhibition” Ally is a big fan of it and he proposed to her in front of some amazing Mickey artwork that she had been raving about days prior. They were taking a picture in front of it when he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him! Ally was so surprised, all the staff was in on it and it was an unforgettable day!
A friend of Ally’s posted a photo from her engagement session on Instagram. Ally saw her photos and fell in love with them. She immediately contacted me because these photos were taken by me!
We schedule an engagement photo shoot at Central Park in New York City. It turned out to be a beautiful sunny day. They even showed up wearing colors that compliment each other’s outfit!I enjoyed capturing the romance between the two especially in the rowboat they rented from The Loeb BoatHouse. While giving direction, conversating and laughing together I was able help Joey and Ally feel more comfortable in front of the camera and to really embrace the moment. Thank you Ally and Joey, It was a pleasant experience.
